"Manchester United" announced that they have reached an agreement with Argentine national team goalkeeper Sergio Romero. The 28-year-old footballer moved to the "Red Devils" without a transfer fee, as he did not renew his contract with Genoa's "Sampdoria" club. Romero will spend at least three years in Manchester. The contract also includes the possibility of extending it for another season. "I am truly happy to join 'Manchester United'," the Argentine told the official team website. "Playing at the world's biggest club is a dream come true for me. Louis van Gaal is a fantastic coach. I can't wait to take on the most exciting challenge of my career." Romero played for van Gaal's AZ Alkmaar team from 2007-2009.
