Official: "Man Utd" called up a Nigerian national team striker

"Manchester United" club solved problems in the striker position during the last hours of the winter transfer window. "The Red Devils" just before midnight UK time announced that they had reached an agreement to loan the 30-year-old Odion Ighalo, including an option to acquire his full rights after the season. "Man Utd" had been interested in several strikers in the last days, but the only available option was O. Ighalo, who had not played in the English Premier League since 2017. He then left "Watford" and moved to China to join "Changchun Yatai" club. In 2019, the Nigerian player changed teams again and put on the jersey of Shanghai "Shenhua". O. Ighalo has played three seasons in the Premier League, during which he appeared on the field 99 times and scored 39 goals. In the past, he has also played for teams like "Udinese", "Granada", and "Cesena".

#MUFC can confirm that Odion Ighalo will join us on loan from Shanghai Shenhua until the end of the season.

Welcome, Odion! ????
