"Manchester United" today announced the list of players with whom they will part ways this summer.
It is reported that the "Red Devils" included 35-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimović in this list. Last summer, the Swede who arrived at "Man Utd" had signed a contract with the club until July 1.
Midway through the season, it was certain that "Man Utd" would offer a new contract to Z. Ibrahimović for another year, but an injury at the end of the season disrupted all plans - the striker may not be able to play until next year, so "Man Utd" did not want to pay a large sum for the player's salary and decided to part ways with him.
After Z. Ibrahimović's departure, Jose Mourinho will seriously search for a new striker. The main candidate to strengthen "Man Utd" is Alvaro Morata, but the candidacies of Andrea Belotti and Romelu Lukaku are also not excluded.
The experienced Swede scored 28 goals in 46 appearances for "Man Utd" last season.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been released by Manchester United.
