Official: M.Balotelli to defend "Liverpool" club's honor

"Liverpool" officially confirmed on Monday that they have completed negotiations with "Milan" club regarding the transfer of forward Mario Balotelli to the "Reds".

The 24-year-old Italian has recently been linked with the English vice-champions, and today the Italian put pen to paper on a long-term contract.

The leader of the Italian national team cost Brendan Rodgers' team as much as 20 million euros, the same amount that "Milan" club paid in 2013.

M.Balotelli will not be a newcomer in the English "Premier" league, as he has worn the jersey of "Manchester City" for almost three seasons. In total, he has scored 20 goals in this league.

The forward became the ninth acquisition of "Liverpool" this summer. The "Reds" spent almost 117 million pounds sterling on their signings.
