"Middlesbrough" officially confirmed their first winter transfer window signing.
Aitor Karanka's team, currently competing in the Championship, acquired 28-year-old striker Rudy Gestede from "Aston Villa."
The sniper, who plays for the national team of Benin, signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with "Middlesbrough."
R. Gestede joined "Aston Villa" in the summer of 2015. During this period, the footballer played 50 league matches and scored nine goals.
"Middlesbrough," along with "Hull City," are the teams that have scored the fewest goals in the Premier League this season. After 20 games, the newcomers are in 16th place.
