Official: "Milan" dismisses V. Montella, coaching reins taken over by G. Gattuso

"Milan" leaders ran out of patience after the last Serie A match. The official website of the team from the fashion capital announces that the club is ending its cooperation with Vincenzo Montella, who has been the head coach until now. The promising 43-year-old strategist began leading "Milan" in the summer of 2016. This season, great results were expected from him and the whole team, as "rossoneri" spent generously in the transfer window and invited several famous footballers. However, the first half of the season did not go very successfully for the coach - "Milan" has six wins, as many losses, and 20 points after 14 matches in Serie A, occupying only seventh place and already falling behind the leaders by 18 points. In the UEFA Europa League, things are going better for the Milan team - they are in first place in their group. However, the situation in Italy did not satisfy the club owners, so they parted ways with the coach. Meanwhile, in the same announcement, "Milan" stated that the coaching duties will be taken over by Gennaro Gattuso, who has been working with the club's youth team.
