"Monaco" team officially announced that they have acquired one of the leaders of the Russian national team, Aleksandr Golovin.
30 million euros were paid to the Moscow CSKA club for the 22-year-old midfielder.
London's "Chelsea" and Turin's "Juventus" teams also competed for the player's signature, but the "Ligue 1" team was able to outshine all competitors in the end.
"I am happy to have signed a contract with "Monaco". This is a new adventure and I approach it with great ambition.
"I am looking forward to meeting the club members and players", said Golovin.
Playing for CSKA since 2014, the midfielder has played 113 matches and became a Russian champion in 2016.
