Official: "Monaco" acquires W. Ben Yedder from "Sevilla" team

"Monaco" club announced on Wednesday that they have acquired Wissam Ben Yedder from the "Sevilla" team.

The French team paid 40 million euros for the 29-year-old forward and the player signed a five-year contract with the club.

"I am very happy to be part of "Monaco". The club showed great interest in me and a desire for me to come here.

I chose "Monaco" because I believe in this project and I am ready to do everything to achieve our common goals. I came here to once again prove my abilities and reach an even higher level.

"I want to thank the club's leaders for the trust they have placed in me. It is a joyful day for me and the beginning of a new story that I am looking forward to", - said W. Ben Yedder after signing the contract.

The Frenchman should replace Radamel Falcao in the ranks of "Monaco", who is expected to leave the team in the near future.

W. Ben Yedder played for "Sevilla" since 2016 and during this time he played 138 matches and scored 70 goals.
