Official: "Monaco" Bought Out G. Martins' Contract

Next season, the "Monaco" team, determined to return to the top in France, informed about buying out Gelson Martins' contract.

The 24-year-old Portuguese national team footballer arrived in "Monaco" on loan last winter. In six months, he managed to play 17 matches, score four goals, and provide as many assists.

The winger arrived in "Monaco" from Madrid's "Atletico" team. The first half of the season in Diego Simeone's coached team was particularly tough for the Portuguese, so both he and the Spanish club decided to end their cooperation.

The deal with "Monaco" was worth 30 million euros. G. Martins himself tied his future with the club until 2024.

Before arriving at "Atletico," the Portuguese played his entire career at Lisbon's "Sporting" team.
