After months of speculation, the new career destination of Lisbon's "Benfica" forward Nico Gaitan has finally been revealed.
He became a UEFA Champions League finalist this season playing for Madrid's "Atletico". The club announced this news on Twitter.
The 28-year-old footballer will sign a contract after the "Copa America Centenario" tournament, where he currently represents the Argentine national team.
This season, Gaitan played 37 matches for "Benfica" and helped them win the Portuguese championship for the third consecutive time.
In 25 "Liga NOS" matches, he scored four goals and made 16 assists.
The transfer fee for the forward has not been disclosed yet.
