On Monday, before noon, a message appeared on the website of Istanbul's "Fenerbahce" club announcing the acquisition of Portuguese national team winger Nani.
It is reported that the 28-year-old footballer successfully passed a medical examination on Sunday. It is believed that the Portuguese cost the Turks around £3.5 million, but the duration of the contract has not been disclosed yet.
Last season, Nani returned to his homeland on loan, representing Lisbon's "Sporting" team. After a fairly successful season, "Manchester United" decided not to bring back the player.
"I am very happy to have come here," Nani said upon arriving in Istanbul. "This is a new opportunity for my career. I have seen fans who came to greet me, and I will try to play good football for them."
Nani arrived at "Man Utd" in 2007. Over seven seasons, he played 230 matches, scored 40 goals, and became English champion four times.
