The club finally completed negotiations and acquired security guard Nicky Butt for an undisclosed amount. Unofficially, the transfer fee is rumored to be around 2.5 million pounds.
29-year-old N. Butt spent 13 years at "Man Utd" club. After lengthy negotiations, the player signed a four-year contract. He will soon return from the USA and undergo a medical examination.
"Nicky Butt has officially completed the transfer from 'Man Utd'," said a representative from Newcastle. "The player has signed a four-year contract and was given the number four for the new season."
N. Butt won six Premier League titles as a part of the "Man Utd" team. In total, he played 387 matches for the "Red Devils".
