„Newcastle United“ completed their third purchase in the January transfer window, while highly-rated Brazilian national team player Bruno Guimaraes joined the „Magpies“. The central midfielder signed a four-and-a-half-year contract and will wear the number 39 - a tribute to the taxi his father once drove. Team manager Eddie Howe officially told the „Newcastle“ website: „Bruno is an extraordinary talent and was one of our main targets, so I am delighted that we were able to acquire him. He was one of the best players in the French league, so I have no doubt that our fans will really enjoy watching him.” Fabrizio Romano reports that including all bonuses, the player will cost „Magpies“ 50.1 million Euros.
