Official: "Nice" lost another leader

Racing for another "Nice" leader Alassane Plea acquisition was won by Monchengladbach's "Borussia". The sniper signed a five-year contract with the German club and followed in the footsteps of Jean-Michael Seri in search of new challenges.

The latter defender recently agreed to terms with London's "Fulham", so the South French team lost its second important footballer.

Plea scored 21 goals last season in all tournaments, and according to reports, he was also of interest to "Newcastle United" and Dortmund's "Borussia". However, ultimately he chose "Gladbach".

"We are extremely happy that this transfer happened and we were able to acquire Alassane Plea despite strong competition from other well-known clubs", said "Gladbach" sports director Max Eberl.

"Fortunately for us, he wanted to come to 'Borussia' no matter what."

"He is a versatile, fast, and intelligent attacker who fully demonstrated his talent in 'Ligue 1' and the Europa League."

In the near future, another sniper Mario Balotelli is likely to also leave Nice.
