Arvydas Novikovas, a Lithuanian player, was loaned to another Scottish "Premier" league team "St. Johnstone" until the end of the season in Edinburgh.
The 20-year-old midfielder, who can play in both defensive and attacking positions, failed to establish himself in the main squad of the capital club. He played in 6 matches in the national competitions, starting only one of them, and scored one goal.
Last year, Novikovas extended his contract with "Hearts" until 2013.
"St. Johnstone" is currently in eighth place in the league table, while "Hearts" are in third place.
