Argentine national team and team star Pablo Aimar will wear the jerseys next season, announces the official club website on the internet.

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a four-year contract and will earn about 1.5 million euros per season.

Both clubs have been negotiating for some time about the sale of the Argentine, but could not agree on the amount of compensation. "Valencia" hoped to receive 12 million euros, while "Zaragoza" initially offered only 8 million. However, after long discussions, a compromise was reached - 11 million euros.

The experienced Argentine, who often missed matches due to injuries, lost his place in the club last season, with which he won two Spanish championship titles, the UEFA Cup, and the European Super Cup in the main team. At the beginning of summer, P.Aimar's services were of interest to "Liverpool", but negotiations that took place for a while were fruitless.

This is not the only good news for "Zaragoza" fans. It is reported that talented 21-year-old defender Alberto Zapater has agreed to sign a new contract with the club, which will be valid until 2010.

"The negotiations were long and difficult, but finally everything ended and I will continue to play for the "Zaragoza" team," said the player who attracted attention from "Liverpool" and "Valencia" this summer.
