"Manchester City" has confirmed that current Bayern Munich strategist Pep Guardiola will become the manager of the "Citizens" after the season ends.
The Spaniard will replace Manuel Pellegrini, whose team triumphed in the Premier League in 2014. The next stop in the Chilean's career is unclear.
Guardiola, in turn, has signed a three-year contract with the Manchester team, which will come into effect this summer.
"Man City" announced the changes in the head coach position by releasing a statement. According to the club itself, the decision to end the speculation was made out of respect for Pellegrini.
Interesting to note that the current "Citizens" strategist has achieved 64 victories in his first 99 English league matches - the most successful start in the league's history since Jose Mourinho.
Nevertheless, Guardiola's results are no less impressive. With Barcelona, he won "La Liga" three times, the UEFA Champions League twice, two Spanish Cups, and three Supercups.
At Bayern Munich, he managed to lead the team to Bundesliga gold twice and win the German Cup once, but the Bavarians exited the Champions League in the semifinals both seasons.
