On Monday evening, "Aston Villa" announced that experienced goalkeeper Pepe Reina is joining the team on a loan basis.
The 37-year-old Spaniard will play in England until the end of this season. There is no information about the possibility of buying the goalkeeper's contract in the summer.
"Aston Villa" needed reinforcement in the goalkeeping department after their main goalkeeper, Tom Heaton, suffered an injury and will not return this season.
P. Reina is not a newcomer to England. From 2005 to 2014, the Spaniard was part of the "Liverpool" team, where he played a total of 395 matches.
In the current season, experienced goalkeeper P. Reina played only one match for "AC Milan."
The team from Milan also lost their backup goalkeeper. The club announced that Asmir Begović from "Bournemouth" is joining the team on a loan basis.
The 32-year-old Bosnian will also play for "AC Milan" until the end of this season.
A. Begović spent the first part of the season in Azerbaijan, playing for "Qarabag."
