"Roma" club from Turin snatched Genoa's "Sampdoria" sniper Patrick Schick from Juventus. The Italian vice champions rented him for one season, but when it ends, they will have to pay a record-breaking fee.
Although it was almost certain that the Czech national team player would move to "bianconeri", the capital club surprised everyone today.
It is said that the 21-year-old footballer had indeed reached an agreement with "Juve", but problems arose during the medical check-up.
"Roma" will now pay a total of 42 million euros for Schick. "Sampdoria" will first receive 5 million for the loan of the striker, and another 9 million will be paid after the season. The other 20 million will be added to Genoa's account in 2020, and the remaining 8 million will be paid based on the player's performance.
Last season in the Italian championship, Schick scored 11 goals.
