34-year-old Portuguese national team center-back Pepe was not a free agent for long - the Portuguese player agreed with Turkish champions Istanbul's "Besiktas".
Pepe, who spent the last decade at Madrid's "Real" club, became a free agent this summer. "Los Blancos" offered the defender to stay in Madrid for another year, but the footballer wanted a two-year contract, and when "Real" did not fulfill this request, they parted ways with the defender.
There were rumors in the media that Pepe would move to Paris Saint-Germain, but negotiations, it seems, also ended when the Parisians offered only a one-year contract.
Upon arriving in Turkey, Pepe got what he wanted - he signed a two-year contract with "Besiktas".
The Brazilian-born Portuguese player, who made a name for himself in the "Real" team, played a total of 334 games in the club until this year, scored 15 goals, and became a UEFA Champions League winner three times.
