Porto, the vice-champions of Portugal, have announced that they have signed a contract with the free agent Pablo Osvaldo.
The 29-year-old forward arrived at Southampton two years ago for a record fee, but did not establish himself within the team and left the club last month.
The press constantly reported that the Italian had a negative impact on his teammates and disrupted the internal atmosphere.
Now Osvaldo will try to revive his career in Portugal.
Last season, the striker was loaned out to Inter Milan and Boca Juniors.
The duration of the new contract with Porto has not been disclosed.
