On Thursday afternoon, it was officially announced that Paris Saint-Germain striker Kevin Gameiro is transferring to Sevilla.

The Sevilla team from the city this summer sold their main striker Alvaro Negredo to Manchester City for 25 million euros, so they had to find a replacement for him.

Meanwhile, PSG filled their ranks with Napoli striker Edinson Cavani through this transfer window, and there was no longer a place for K. Gameiro in the team.

Apart from A. Negredo, Sevilla also lost full-backs Jesus Navas and Luis Alberto, who also went to England. In total, Sevilla received 57 million euros from the sales.

Despite the losses, K. Gameiro is the tenth acquisition for the Spanish team and strengthening the team, Sevilla spent 26 million euros.

The striker started his career at Racing Strasbourg, later moving to Lorient for 3 million euros.

In the summer of 2011, the Frenchman transferred to the capital team for 11 million euros, but did not establish himself in the main lineup.

Sevilla paid 8 million euros for the striker.
