In England, the struggling London team "Queens Park Rangers" is strengthening - the club has officially confirmed that they have acquired forward Loic Remy from the "Marseille" team.

The French national team player has signed a four-and-a-half year contract with QPR. The footballer has been linked with the London club for some time now. Also, "Newcastle" was competing for L. Remy's signature.

The new acquisition was welcomed by head coach Harry Redknapp: "I am very happy that such a talented player will strengthen my team. I have been watching his game for several years, and it is great that we were the first ones to reach an agreement."

The 26-year-old Frenchman arrived at Marseille in 2010 from the "Nice" team. During this time, he played 68 matches and scored 30 goals.
