The Portugal national team has a new head coach.
On Monday, it was officially announced that Roberto Martinez will take over as the team's head coach, after leaving his position as the head coach of the Belgium national team following the World Cup.
In this position, the 49-year-old Spaniard will replace Fernando Santos.
R. Martinez has signed a contract until the summer of 2026.
It is worth remembering that after the World Cup there were rumors that Jose Mourinho could take over as the head coach of the Portugal national team.
