Official: "Real" buys Norwegian football hope M.Odegaard

Madrid's "Real" and "Stomsgodset" teams reached an agreement on the 16-year-old Norwegian national team forward Martin Odegaard.

This was announced on Wednesday on the official website of the Spanish club.

"Real" did not disclose the amount of the deal, but the Spanish media reported that the player cost about 3 million euros.

M. Odegaard, who made his debut for the Norwegian national team last August at just 15 years old, attracted interest from many European football giants. Ultimately, he chose "Real".

It is believed that the young Norwegian will play for Real Madrid's B team, coached by French football legend Zinedine Zidane. His team competes in the third division of the Spanish league.

M. Odegaard gained fame last year by becoming the youngest player to appear in the Norwegian top league and scoring a goal there.

He scored five goals and provided seven assists in 23 matches for "Stromsgodset" club.

The left-footed teenager, known for his excellent striking abilities, is compared in playing style to Barcelona's forward Lionel Messi.
