Dortmund's "Borussia" announced pleasant news to the club's fans on Monday evening - the "yellow and blacks" have strengthened their attacking line with the addition of "Torino" striker Ciro Immobile.
The 24-year-old footballer demonstrated outstanding form last season. He scored 22 goals in the Italian "Serie A" championship and became the top scorer of the league.
Jurgen Klopp acquired the Italian national team player as a replacement for Roberto Lewandowski. The Polish striker played the whole season at Dortmund, but will become a full-fledged player of Munich's "Bayern" from July 1.
The amount paid by "Borussia" for the striker was not disclosed, but the Italian signed a five-year contract with the German vice-champions.
"Ciro Immobile is a dynamic striker who scored many goals in the domestic championship. With his exceptional abilities, he is an asset to our team," said "Borussia" sporting director Michael Zorc.
C. Immobile played for "Torino" team for just one season. Earlier, he also spent one year in the ranks of "Genoa" and from 2009 to 2012 he defended the colors of the Turin champions, the "Juventus" club.
