Roberto Carlos has officially terminated his contract with Corinthians and is moving to Russia, where he will wear the jersey of Anzhi Makhachkala for two and a half years.
The 37-year-old veteran, unofficially, will earn 5 million euros per season.
"The opportunity to go to Russia intrigues me a lot. Money was not the main motive for my decision," Carlos explained to "Sport Express."
Anzhi finished 11th in the Russian league last season, just three points ahead of the team that was relegated to the second division.
