"Newell's Old Boys" announced that "Roma" has acquired Argentine club's football player Ezequiel Ponce. The transfer fee was not disclosed.
South American club president Guillerme Lorente revealed in December that both "Roma" and London's "Tottenham" wanted to see the promising 17-year-old player in their ranks. Both teams made offers, but an agreement was reached with the Italian capital team.
Ponce will remain on loan at his current team until December of this year.
The striker started scoring goals in the "Primera Division" championship from his debut matches and is considered one of the biggest talents in South America. In a total of 18 matches, Ponce scored four times."
