"Roma" officially confirmed that a new center-back, Gianluca Mancini, is arriving to take Kostas Manolas' place. The 23-year-old Italian spent the last two years at the "Atalanta" club, with whom he secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League last season. G. Mancini will initially play at Roma on a loan agreement, and after the season, "Roma" will have to buy his contract for 13 million euros. 2 million euros will go to the "Atalanta" team for one year of loan, and another 8 million were included as possible bonuses. The defender started his career at the "Perugia" club. Last season, playing for "Atalanta," he participated in 35 matches and scored six goals. G. Mancini became the fourth new addition to Roma's squad this summer - the club also previously welcomed Leonardo Spinazzola, Amadou Diawara, and Pau Lopez.
Mancini: "Joining a prestigious club like Roma is a proud moment for me, and the culmination of all the hard work put in ever since I first began playing football.
