Gelsenkirchen's "Schalke" announces that they have exercised the option in the rental agreement and have acquired midfielder Nabil Bentaleb for a longer period of time.
The former "Tottenham" player has signed a four-year contract with the German club.
The 22-year-old Algerian immediately became a part of the "Schalke" starting lineup this season and has already played 27 matches in all competitions.
Bentaleb has been particularly valuable to the team due to his versatility - he has played in both central midfield and slightly deeper defensive midfield positions. In addition, in the last few games, he has taken on the role of the "number ten".
So far, Bentaleb has contributed five goals and assists to "Schalke's" victories.
