"Southampton" confirmed at the end of the winter transfer window that they acquired 25-year-old forward Manolo Gabbiadini from "Napoli". The Italian, who didn't have much playing time at "Napoli", cost "Saints" 17 million pounds. The player himself signed a four and a half year contract with "Southampton". Rumors of M. Gabbiadini joining "Southampton" circulated throughout the entire month of January. English and Italian clubs failed to finalize the deal regarding the final transfer fee, but in the last days of January, the Italian's future was already known. M. Gabbiadini arrived in Naples in winter 2015 and managed to play 30 matches and score 11 goals in just half a season, a statistic he couldn't boast during the entire previous season. This season, the sniper from Italy appeared 19 times on the pitch and managed to score five goals.
