"Southampton" officially announced the fastest about their last summer purchase.
"Saints" informed that they bought attacking midfielder Sofiane Boufal from "Lille" for a record sum. The 22-year-old footballer, who can play both as a midfielder and winger, costed "Southampton" £17 million and signed a five-year contract.
"Southampton" has shown interest in me for a long time. I think this is the best place I could choose to grow as a footballer," shared his thoughts the newcomer of the Premier League.
S. Boufal was acquired by "Lille" club in January 2015. In the last season, the promising footballer played 29 matches in "Ligue 1", scored 11 goals, and made four assists.
The Moroccan became the latest addition to the "Southampton" team. Previously, "Saints" strengthened their squad with Alex McCarthy, Nathan Redmond, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Jeremy Pied, and Stuart Taylor.
