With the QPR defender wearing a proud badge, the "Saints" shook hands for a four-and-a-half-year contract. It is believed that the team led by Ronaldo Koeman paid around 4 million pounds for the Englishman.
"I am very happy and can't wait to start playing", C. Austin said after signing the contract. "As soon as I received interest from 'Southampton', I knew that this is the club I want to go to."
C. Austin wore the QPR jersey since 2013. This season in the Championship, the forward scored 10 goals in 16 games played against opponents.
