Official: "Stoke City" acquires G. Imbula for a record sum in the club's history

During the last minutes of winter transfer window, "Stoke City" shook the market with players' transfers. "The Potters" acquired 23-year-old midfielder Giannelli Imbula from "Porto" for a record sum in the club's history - 18.3 million pounds sterling. The player signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with the new club. "Giannelli is a player we have been watching for some time, so we are very pleased to have him join our ranks," said Stoke's chairman Tony Scholes after the transfer was confirmed. Imbula joined "Porto" last summer for 20 million euros, and this season he appeared 20 times in the midfield. #scfc delighted to confirm the signing of Giannelli Imbula from Porto for £18.3m - https://t.co/lkLqlVUn9F pic.twitter.com/8B5LvfdzGN
