"Manchester City" announced on their official website that on the last day of the transfer window, another player is leaving the team on loan terms. "Stoke City" reached an agreement with the "cityzens" for the season-long loan of Wilfried Bony. The 27-year-old striker was also linked with the "West Ham" club, but the "potters" won the battle for the Ivory Coast national team member. W. Bony joined the ranks of "Man City" in January 2015. In total, the African forward appeared in 46 matches and scored 10 goals. Former "Swansea City" striker had to compete for a starting position in the Manchester team not only with Sergio Aguero but also with the young "Man City" talent Kelechi Iheanacho. This summer, "Stoke City" strengthened their squad not only with W. Bony but also with Joe Allen, Ramadan Sobhi, and Ryan Sweeney.
