On Tuesday, UEFA held an extraordinary video conference with representatives of European football leagues and federations to discuss possible scenarios for addressing the situation created by the coronavirus.
As could be expected, UEFA decided to postpone the upcoming European football championship to next year, as announced by the Norwegian Football Association.
This means that at least the major European leagues will be able to extend their seasons and finish them in the summer.
This year's European football championship was supposed to take place in 12 cities, with the start scheduled for June 12.
The European Championship will take place around the same time in 2021 - from June 11 to July 11.
