The Brazilian national team found a new coach after the fiasco in the World Cup - 50-year-old Dunga, who had been coaching Internacional until now.
In the 2014 World Cup, Brazil marched to the semi-finals, but suffered a humiliating 7-1 defeat to Germany, and also lost to the Netherlands for the third place. After the championship, it was revealed that Luiz Felipe Scolari had lost his job in the national team.
Dunga is well acquainted with the Brazilian national team, as he played for 11 years and triumphed in the 1994 World Cup as captain.
The strategist has already coached the Brazilian team when he directed it from 2006 to 2010. During this time, Dunga along with the team won the America's Cup (2007) and the FIFA Confederations Cup (2009).
During his coaching career, the 50-year-old Brazilian also coached the legendary Brazilian club Internacional, but his career there was unsuccessful.
