The reports have been confirmed - "Sevilla" has dismissed Vincenzo Montella from the position of head coach. After the Andalusian club experienced a devastating defeat in the King's Cup final last weekend, "Sevilla" gave a second chance to the strategist, but he did not make use of it - the club suffered another failure. Yesterday, in the Spanish league, "Sevilla" lost away to Valencia's "Levante" team. This was already the seventh game where the Andalusians failed to achieve victory in the league. After this failure, the club's leaders ran out of patience, and today after a meeting, it was decided to part ways with the Italian. He will be replaced until the end of the season by the experienced Joaquin Caparros. V. Montella took over as head coach of "Sevilla" before the new year. He managed to lead the team to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, but extremely poor results were demonstrated in the local championships.
