"Roma" announced on Wednesday evening on their official website that they have completed negotiations with London's "Arsenal" regarding the loan of Wojciech Szczesny for the season. In the media, there have been rumors lately that the 25-year-old goalkeeper would be forced to leave the "gunners" team for at least a season. "Roma" will pay 400 thousand euros for the Pole's loan to the "Arsenal" club. W. Szczesny lost his place in the starting eleven of "Arsenal" last season when he was outperformed by Colombian David Ospina. This summer, Petr Cech also joined the FA Cup winners' team, so the goalkeeper from Poland was forced to leave the team, despite reports in the press that D. Ospina would move to Turkey. The Pole also earned Arsene Wenger's anger after a few scandals. He was publicly seen smoking, even though A. Wenger had strictly warned him about this misconduct. Last season, the goalkeeper managed to play 29 matches.
