Zlatan Ibrahimović is returning to compete in the Italian league almost after eight years of a break.
"Milan" officially confirmed that they have reached an agreement with the 38-year-old veteran for a contract until the end of this season. The contract will include the possibility to extend the collaboration for another year.
He has been a free agent since December when he parted ways with Los Angeles "Galaxy". The "Rossoneri" team, experiencing a real crisis this season, negotiated with the experienced footballer for the whole month.
"I am returning to the club that I greatly respect and to the city that I love," said Ibra. "I will do everything with my teammates to change the current situation and achieve our season objectives."
For Z. Ibrahimović, "Milan" will not be a new stop in his career - he defended the club's colors in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. The Swede, who became an Italian champion with the "Rossoneri", played 85 matches and scored 56 goals.
In Italy, he has also played for Turin's "Juventus" and Milan's "Inter" teams.
Currently, the "Milan" team, after playing 17 matches, is in 11th place in the Italian league.
