The St. Petersburg "Zenit" club rocked the football world by purchasing Porto forward Hulk for 40 million euros.
The 26-year-old footballer, who was sought after by the most powerful European teams, including London's "Chelsea", signed a five-season contract.
He has been playing in Portugal since 2008, when he arrived from "Tokyo Verdy". During this time, the Brazilian became one of the most dangerous footballers playing in the Old Continent, establishing himself also in the country's national team.
Last season, Hulk scored 21 goals, and from now on in Russia, he will wear the jersey with the number 29.
After playing seven rounds, the St. Petersburg team is leading the national championship together with Grozny's "Terek".
