Officially: "Roma" and E. Di Francesco part ways

On Thursday, "Roma" announced that head coach Eusebio Di Francesco is leaving his position.

Having led the club since 2017, the Italian was forced to step down after a humiliating defeat to "Porto" prevented them from reaching the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.

"On behalf of the entire club, I would like to thank Eusebio for his work and dedication. From day one, the coach has shown his professionalism and sincerely cared about the club's affairs. We wish him the greatest success in the future," said club president James Pallota.

"Sky Sports" journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the main candidate to replace E. Di Francesco is recently fired Claudio Ranieri from "Fulham."

AS Roma can confirm head coach Eusebio Di Francesco has left the club with immediate effect.

The club would like to thank Eusebio for his work during his time at #ASRoma and wish him success in the future.
