The Norwegian national team and striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continue to be haunted by injuries. The 33-year-old Norwegian will have to sit out for six to eight weeks after breaking his jaw during a reserve team match.
"Ole will have to undergo surgery to reduce the consequences of the injury," the "Manchester United" website reported. "He will have to be out for six to eight weeks."
The 33-year-old attacking midfielder and forward, who recently started training and playing with the reserve team after a very serious knee injury that took almost two years to heal, may no longer appear in the squad of "Man Utd" as his contract with the Manchester club will expire after this season.
O.G. Solskjaer, who joined "Manchester United" in 1996, was one of the leaders of the "Red Devils" before the injury, and in 1999 he became a favorite of the team's fans when he scored the winning goal in extra time of the Champions League final against Bayern Munich.
