"Old Firm" derby: "Rangers" will try to remember the good old times

On the last day of 2016 in Scotland, the "Old Firm" derby will take place - a showdown between the "Rangers" and "Celtic" teams.

However, in the battle for the standings, this match will not have much significance - Brendan Rodgers' pupils confidently lead the championship, even surpassing future opponents by 16 points.

In the "Premiership" league, "Rangers" can boast of not losing in front of their fans for 15 months and hope to continue this streak.

Before the match, host goalkeeper Andy Halliday said:

"We have to maintain our game and achieve victory. Although in the previous match "Celtic" dominated in their own field and triumphed 5:1, we failed to demonstrate our attacking potential. We will try to attack the opponent's goal, as we have done in the last few matches."

"This is the biggest Scottish league match and we are all eagerly awaiting it," Halliday reassured.

Meanwhile, "Celtic" captain Scott Brown praised the future opponents:

"We know they are a good team. If we play well, we can create chances and score goals. That's exactly how we strive to play. If we lose, it's not the end of the world. We confidently lead the championship and just have to enjoy the upcoming match. Of course, these matches will be tough, but if we believe in our strength, we are capable of taking three points."
