German football can boast not only men's, but also women's achievements. The representatives of this country fought off Swedes in the Rio de Janeiro Olympic final with a score of 2:1 and adorned themselves with gold medals. The first two goals of the match were scored into the net of the Scandinavian team - for the first time, Dzenifer Marozsan (48') found the net, and after fourteen minutes, the Swedes scored an own goal. Stina Blackstenius managed to equalize in the 67th minute. Canada won the bronze medals by defeating the Olympic hosts Brazil 2:1.
