Former Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra will represent the London club until the end of the season. The contract can be extended for another year in the summer.

The 30-year-old footballer left Monaco after last season and became a free agent.

After five seasons with Lyon, the Malian moved to Real Madrid in 2006 for more than 25 million euros, with whom he won the Spanish championship twice. Before that, he had also played for Crete in Greece and Vitesse in the Netherlands.

In the English Premier League, Fulham is currently in 11th place.
