With noticeable victories and injuries, Fabio Coentrao's career at Real Madrid is over - the contract was terminated by mutual agreement. F. Coentrao still had a one-year contract, but both parties decided to end the collaboration earlier. So far, the defender was receiving a yearly salary of 4 million euros, so the "white" team will save additional millions. In turn, F. Coentrao signed a contract with the "Rio Ave" club, where he was born and started his professional career. Real Madrid purchased F. Coentrao for 30 million euros in the summer of 2011. The defender's game satisfied the "white" fans until the injuries - the Portuguese even displaced Marcelo from the starting position for two seasons. In total, the Portuguese spent five seasons at Real Madrid. During that time, he played 106 matches, scored one goal, and won 10 titles.
