16-year-old Luka Romero is considered one of the most promising talents playing in Europe. This Argentinean was even dubbed the "new Lionel Messi." However, this 16-year-old prodigy mentioned in an interview that he doesn't like being compared to Messi: "I don't like being compared to Messi, because Messi is unique, and I want my name, Luka Romero, to be as famous as Messi's." This young talent participated in a tryout at Barcelona in 2011 but couldn't join the Catalan team because he was under 10 years old and didn't live near Barcelona. Later, he joined the youth system of RCD Mallorca. In his first 4 years, he played 108 matches for youth teams and scored 230 goals. Last season, L. Romero even had the opportunity to debut in the main team of RCD Mallorca in the Spanish Segunda Division, coming on as a substitute 6 times and scoring one goal. Next season, this prodigy will play for AS Roma's Lazio team, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano. Next week, this new Lazio signing should be officially presented.
