Only one "Serie A" club defeated opponents from a lower division in the Italian Cup.

On the evening in Italy, three matches of the eighteenth finals were played. Two of them ended unexpectedly.

The footballers of "Cagliari" couldn't resist at home against the "Pordenone" club playing in the third division.

Already in the eighth minute, the guests were brought forward by Miguel Maza and, although Daniele Dessena quickly equalized the result, Alessandro Bassoli scored the winning goal after just over an hour.

Meanwhile, the "Serie A" representative "SPAL 2013" lost to "Cittadella" playing in "Serie B". The latter club even kept a clean sheet, and accurate strikes from Andrea Arrighini and Andrea Schenetti led them to victory at the opponents' stadium.

The honor of the top league was defended by the sole "Sampdoria" of Genoa, who crushed "Pescara" 4-1. Dawid Kownacki scored in the second minute, and the lead doubled in the ninth after Gaston Ramirez's goal. The first half was finally completed by Gianluca Caprari's goal.

After the break, the winners were already clear, but only accurate strikes were exchanged by "Pescara" representative Ahmed Benali and Kownacki, who scored a double for himself.

"Cagliari" 1 - 2 "Pordenone"
