The 37th round of the Italian championship started with a really intriguing match in Verona, where the local team "Chievo" hosted the "Roma" club.
The action started from the first minutes, and in the fifteenth minute the guests took the lead when Roberto Inglese headed the ball accurately to Lucas Castro.
Despite dominating ball control, the capital's footballers equalized the score in the twenty-eighth minute with a well-controlled ball by Stephan El Shaarawy.
The remaining first half was no less interesting - before the break, Inglese managed to lead "Chievo" ahead again after Valter Birsa's pass, while Mohamed Salah melted the joy of the hosts.
In the second half, Verona's team had significantly fewer opportunities, and in the fifty-eighth minute El Shaarawy gave "giallorossi" the lead for the first time.
Continuing to control the course of the match, Luciano Spalletti's proteges did not let the victory slip away from their hands - later they were also solidified by Salah, who scored a double, and Edin Dzeko, who scored a long-range shot, thus another Inglese goal didn't change anything.
The victory of "Roma" will put even greater pressure on Turin's "Juventus", who will play against "Crotone" fighting for survival tomorrow. Currently, the capital team is only one point behind the "bianconeri".
Later on today, "Napoli", third in the table, played against "Fiorentina" from Florence. In another tense and goal-packed meeting, the action started right from the beginning.
Maurizio Sarri's team's attack in the eighth minute ended in a corner, after which Kalidou Koulibaly successfully headed Marek Hamsik's shot to score a goal.
A little later, Dries Mertens missed a great opportunity to score, but he made up for it in the middle of the half when he made an assist to Lorenzo Insigne.
Belgian scored his goal due to the opponent's goalkeeper mistake after playing almost an hour, and added another goal after Josip Ilicic equalized the score.
The final result of this match was 4-1. This result also allows "Napoli" to maintain theoretical chances to even win the "Serie A" championship, as they are now only two points behind the "Juventus".
